Seiko Prospex Save the Ocean Watch
Description
Save the Ocean: special edition turtle, This Prospex diver’s watch is from the Seiko ‘Save the Ocean’ collection. Working in collaboration with the ocean explorer Fabien Cousteau, Grandson of Jacques, Seiko proudly supports Cousteau Ocean Learning Center projects - dedicated to the preservation and exploration of our seas. The dial design is themed around Great White Sharks to mark Fabien’s dedication to the preservation and understanding of these beautiful creatures. The second hand echoes a shark's tail and a shark’s dorsal fin is hidden near the 8 o'clock marker. This watch shape is nicknamed by Seiko fans as a ‘turtle’ - its silhouette, side view and watch case back resemble a turtle with its curved comfortable shell. To divers, sea turtles are symbols of good fortune. This is the diver’s watch that, just like the sea turtle, is loved by many diving enthusiasts. Seiko Prospex watches are designed for sports lovers and adventure seekers whether in the water, in the sky or on land. Since launching Japan’s first diver’s watch in 1965, Seiko’s innovative watchmaking has changed global dive watch standards.
